ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Jen — a qualified integrative counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering supportive, confidential therapy for young people and adults.

I believe that healing begins with feeling truly heard and seen. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship struggles, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I provide a calm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions safely.

I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (BACP approved) and work from an integrative approach, meaning I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities to suit your individual needs. At the heart of my work is a person-centred, trauma-informed philosophy that values connection, self-awareness, and growth.

In our sessions, you won’t be rushed or judged. Instead, you’ll be supported to reconnect with your inner strength, understand your patterns, and move toward greater clarity and wellbeing.

Outside the therapy room, I often find calm and inspiration in nature and I bring that same grounded energy into my work with clients.

If you’re considering counselling, or just wondering what the next step might look like, I’d love to connect and support you on your journey.

MY SERVICES

ADULT THERAPY                       £50

Life can bring challenges that feel overwhelming, isolating, or difficult to make sense of on your own. Whether you’re navigating a specific issue or experiencing a general sense that something isn’t quite right, counselling can provide a safe space to reflect, heal, and grow.

I work with adults of all ages, offering compassionate, confidential support for a wide range of concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy and understanding, tailored to meet you where you are, without pressure, judgment, or expectation.

I have experience supporting adults with:

  • Anxiety and low mood

  • Grief, loss, and bereavement

  • Eating disorders and body image concerns

  • Suicidal thoughts and emotional overwhelm

  • Anger and emotional regulation

  • Identity, self-esteem, and life transitions

Our work together is shaped by your needs. Whether you're looking to explore past experiences, build healthier coping strategies, or simply be heard, I offer a calm, supportive environment where you can start to reconnect with yourself.

Counselling doesn’t have to be about having the answers—it’s about creating space for the questions, and gently finding your way forward.

YOUNG PERSON THERAPY          £35

Navigating the teenage years can be incredibly challenging—for both young people and their families. Whether it's anxiety, low mood, friendship struggles, school pressure, or identity questions, it can be hard for young people to find the space and words to express what they’re going through.

I offer counselling for young people aged 11–18 in a way that is compassionate, age-appropriate, and non-judgmental. My role is to provide a calm, confidential space where they feel seen, heard, and supported—without pressure or expectation.

With experience working with children and young people in both educational and therapeutic settings, I understand the importance of building trust at a pace that suits the individual. I tailor each session to the young person’s unique needs, using creative and flexible approaches where appropriate.

Counselling can help young people:

  • Explore their thoughts and emotions safely

  • Build confidence and self-awareness

  • Cope with stress, anxiety, and low mood

  • Navigate relationships and social dynamics

  • Develop healthy emotional coping skills

Whether you're a young person looking for support, or a parent or carer reaching out on their behalf, I’m here to help.

ACCESSIBLE THERAPY                                              PAY WHAT YOU CAN

I believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, professional support—regardless of financial circumstances.

If you're currently on a low income, receiving benefits, or facing financial hardship, I offer a limited number of “Pay What You Can” counselling spaces. This means we work together to find a session rate that feels manageable for you, without compromising the quality or depth of the support you receive. These sessions are offered in the same way as any others—with care, confidentiality, and respect.

If you’re interested in this option, please feel free to get in touch. I’m happy to have a conversation, with no pressure or obligation.
